June 20162015 : Our Willesden Road project has been featured in this month’s Grand Designs Magazine :

Energy Consumption has been greatly reduced in this side extension by A-ZERO architects. The environmental upgrades include the installation of a new MVHR system, high performance glazing, and greater levels of insulation throughout. Internally, the new addition features a series of roof-lights, and exposed brickwork, while externally, the decorative iroko facia spans the rear elevation with bi-fold doors leading to the stone clad garden’.

The Modern House

May 2015 : We were featured in The Modern House website, for our Timber Frame House. Very nice photos with the surrounding landscape far more established…

‘Perhaps the most impressive space is the open plan kitchen / living /dining room. It is an uplifting, light-filled area that features a wonderful exposed oak frame, floor to ceiling glazing, integrated audio and a bespoke kitchen. The second reception room is a more cosy space with a fireplace. Upstairs the bedrooms all have vaulted ceilings (with extra mezzanine levels in the smaller rooms) and lead on to a wide, meticulously-detailed circulation space’

Grand Designs Magazine

January 2015 = A small but noteworthy mention in January’s edition of Grand Design Magazine for our Timber Frame House.Something old, something new : For an excellent example of how to mix contemporary with traditional, take this timber-framed house in Leighton Buzzard by A-Zero architects (020 7701 2664, www.a-zero co uk) The existing barn had to be demolished, but its foundation slab, several walls and 90 per cent of the steel frame were reused, reducing costs and meaning less spoil had to be removed Inside, traditional beams have been mixed with contemporary fixtures, while a heat•recovery system and ground source heat pump mean that the building has an excellent annual energy consumption ‘
